Sinners has taken the world by storm during its first week of release, and now the vampire horror film has helped lift director Ryan Coogler into an elite echelon of talent. As it prepares to enter its second weekend in theaters, Sinners has grossed $64 million at the domestic box office and $15 million internationally for a worldwide total of $79 million. This global haul is enough to make Coogler one of the top 50 highest-grossing directors of all time at the worldwide box office, a feat made even more impressive considering he’s directed only five movies. Coogler has collaborated with Sinners leading star Michael B. Jordan on all five of his feature films, and he also shares in this tremendous achievement with his director.
