1000-lb Sisters season 7 recently premiered, and Amy Slaton introduced her new, much older boyfriend, Bryan Scott Lovvorn. Amy, 37, met Bryan during a concert. Their eyes locked from across the crowded mosh pit, and the two have been inseparable ever since. After only a few weeks of dating, Amy and Bryan were already very serious. He was already spending time with her children and making plans for the future. Though Amy seems happy with Bryan, they are moving so fast. Their big age difference also bothers me.

They went on to have two children together, but after four years of marriage, they announced their divorce in 2023. Since her divorce, Amy has found herself in multiple failed relationships. At 50 years of age, Bryan is considerably older than the 37-year-old Amy. Though 13 years is a big age gap, it’s not necessarily insurmountable. Amy has grown up a lot over the last few years, so she’s certainly more mature than she used to be. This wouldn’t be the only massive age gap on 1000-lb Sisters. Amy’s brother, 44-year-old Chris Combs, is married to 36-year-old Brittany Combs, and their relationship appears to be perfectly loving and happy. With good communication, Amy and Bryan could manage their age difference well enough to be happy together, but it’ll take work.

Bryan’s Request Is A Red Flag

Amy has always been impetuous, but she should consider pumping the brakes. After Amy lost 125 pounds, she had two healthy sons, Gage and Glenn Halterman. With two little boys running around, Amy had enough on her plate. The fact that she’s even considering having a baby with a man she barely knows is very concerning.

Amy has worked so hard to prove herself over the last few years, and it would be a shame if she let herself get distracted by a man she had just met. Amy has come a long way, but the 1000-lb Sisters star still has plenty of work to do. She wants to lose more weight so she can have skin removal surgery, and I wish she’d prioritize that more. Instead of jumping into the deep end of this new relationship, she should take it slow and continue to focus on herself and her sons.
