Victoria Javadi (Shabana Azeez) had a complicated relationship with her mother, Dr. Shamsi (Deepti Gupta) in The Pitt season 1, and I really want to see the other side of her family in season 2. Because of the show’s real-time format, we only learned bits and pieces of information about the cast of The Pitt in season 1. For example, we learned that Dr. Robby (Noah Wyle) and Dr. Collins (Tracy Ifeachor) dated only through context clues and some references to their history. The same was true for Javadi and Dr. Shamsi, though we got a very good feel for their relationship as mother and daughter.
Throughout The Pitt season 1, Javadi seemed embarrassed by Dr. Shamsi, and she wanted to distance herself professionally from her mother. Her coworkers only learned they were related when Shamsi came down to the ER, and she explicitly told Dr. McKay (Fiona Dourif) that she didn’t want to live in her mother’s shadow. Javadi and Shamsi had a very complicated relationship that The Pitt season 2 could easily explore further, but there’s another part of Javadi’s family it could also take a look at. The Pitt has already teased Javadi’s father having a role in her professional career alongside Dr. Shamsi.

Javadi’s Mother Is A Surgeon, But Her Father Also Works As An Endocrinologist At PTMC
Though Dr. Shamsi’s relationship to Javadi was a constant source of stress for her, she actually had another family member who worked at PTMC. Early on in The Pitt season 1, Javadi revealed that her father was also a doctor at the hospital – an endocrinologist – and that it was something of a “family business.” Javadi’s father never appeared in The Pitt season 1, likely because endocrinologists, who specialize in hormone disorders, rarely have much to do in the emergency room or during a mass casualty event like the PittFest shooting. Javadi’s dad could make an appearance in The Pitt season 2, though.
Why The Pitt Season 2 Should Introduce Javadi’s Father
Javadi’s Father Could Contrast With Dr. Shamsi & Help With Her Career Uncertainty

I would really love to see the show introduce Javadi’s father in The Pitt season 2. The biggest reason Javadi’s dad should appear in The Pitt season 2 is because he would add so much to Javadi’s backstory and her family dynamics. We’ve only seen Javadi be ashamed of her parents and try to hide her relationship, and her father could be an opportunity to highlight a different side of her. The Pitt season 2 could establish that Javadi has a very different dynamic with her father, and it may even highlight a more confident or playful side of her character.
Introducing Javadi’s father in The Pitt season 2 could also lead to some great moments for her and Dr. Shamsi. We’ve only ever seen Shamsi while she was preening over Javadi, but she might be a very different character around her husband. On top of that, having the whole family together could lead to either funny or emotional moments for Javadi and Shamsi. We know almost nothing about their family dynamics, so introducing Javadi’s father would give The Pitt season 2 a completely blank slate to play with both Javadia and Shamsi.

Scott Gemmill has hinted that her future story will see Javadi questioning her future in medicine. If Javadi is having second thoughts about practicing emergency medicine in The Pitt season 2, her father could give her some great advice about alternative options. An endocrinologist is a very different specialty from emergency medicine, and Javadi’s father could add a lot of drama to The Pitt season 2.
